Word of the Kingdom and millennial exclusion

My critique on the Word of the Kingdom, propagated by Arlen L. Chitwood and John Herbert, can be found here.

“How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!”

“There’s a black man stealing my show!”

Forget these weird accusations that Barack Obama is Osama bin Laden’s brother, or that the Democratic contender was educated at an Jihadist school in Pakistan. More concerning are the people Obama calls his spiritual guides: the Rev. Wright and Rev. Michael Pfleger. Consider also Obama’s comments about “bitter” working-class Americans who cling to guns and religion. The anti-religion, anti-white stance of Obama, his campaign and his friends is more than a little unsettling.

I, like most Americans, am anxious about change. We need change: energy independence, health-care reform, a stronger economy, stronger civil rights, and peace. But I can’t envision an America that is anti-religious. And I can’t support a candidate who regards religious conservatives as being part of the problem.

Rev. Pfleger’s recent comments about white America were crude. Pfleger, a white man, charged Hillary Clinton with racism, and singularly condemned all of white America for racism. I want to be part of the solution, but if Obama and his consort view us as the problem, we cannot join him.

See Pleger story.

Don’t tell about Jesus

American soldiers are under orders that prohibit the free expression of religion. One marine is being sent home after distributing gospel coins to Sunni Muslims in Iraq.

The marine was passing out silver coins to residents of the Sunni Anbar province with Arabic translations of Bible verses on them. On one side, the coin read, “Where will you spend eternity?” and on the other, “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. John 3:16” (source).

Rather than send him home, the government should give this marine a medal—not for the practice of religion, but for the exercising of his constitutional rights. Granted, Muslims view Americans as an invading force, but that is the cost of war. Soldiers in the service of our country should never face restrictions in the practice of their religion. Soldiers should not be expected to give up their rights to defend ours.

Perhaps he has reason to be. See story.
